The decisions that cost the most.
Every one of these is a decision a clinic owner makes once, under time pressure, from vendor websites that all say the same thing. We wrote the version we would want if we were buying: what each option is genuinely better at, what neither of them fixes, and the questions to ask before signing.
What you will not find here: anyone else's prices or feature tables. Vendor pricing changes monthly, a stale table is worse than no table, and we will not print a number about someone else's product that we cannot stand behind. The frameworks below do not go out of date.

Agency, in-house or freelancer?
Med spa Who should actually run patient acquisition for a clinic this size? Below roughly $80K a month in revenue, a freelancer or a specialist agency almost always beats hiring, because the work is not yet a full-time job and a part-time hire gets none of the specialisms. Hiring in-house starts to win when marketing becomes a daily operational job rather than a set of projects — usually at multiple locations, or when paid ads are running at meaningful spend. - 02
Answering service or AI front desk?
Both Should a clinic put a human service or an AI system on the calls it misses? Pick a human answering service if most of your missed calls need judgement — upset patients, complex insurance, clinical triage. Pick an AI front desk if most of your missed calls are routine booking and rescheduling, which for the majority of clinics is where the volume actually sits. The real answer for most practices is both, with the AI in front and a human path behind it. - 03
Choosing dental booking software
Dental Which scheduling system should a dental practice run, and is it worth switching? For most practices the deciding factor is not the booking interface, it is whether the system will let anything else write into it. If your scheduler has no real two-way API, every phone system, reminder tool and website booking widget you buy afterwards will be a manual copy-paste job. Judge on integration and data ownership first; features come second.

We have your details.
The audit takes us about two business days. It arrives as a short written document — where calls are being lost, what the map pack looks like for your treatments, and what AI assistants say when someone asks for a clinic like yours. No call required to receive it.
